Diffmerge side by side
VSCode just opens up a new window but there is no files being compared like before. DiffMerge shows detailed highlights of changes within lines.
A color-coded side-by-side comparison makes it easy to pinpoint at a glance similarities and differences between files. So in the field: Two-way diff command line I would simply fill in: -d #LEFT #RIGHTÄ«y doing so, I would click the View Diff button in Unity Collaborate and it would compare both files side-by-side (this feature is built-in to vscode). DiffMerge enables you to compare and work with different revisions of text files, such as program source code, XML and HTML files. Awhile back, I had found that if I put #LEFT and #RIGHT as the arguments, Unity would replace them with the respective files. SSUnix is similar to the /format:unix output format, but /format:ssunix includes context lines and /format:unix does not. SSSideBySide is the default side-by-side output format for Visual SourceSafe.

I then proceed to browse to the location of my visual studio code installation: F:/Programs/Microsoft VS Code/Code.exe Brief format prints whether the files being compared differ. This gives me hope that Phabricator can do better. Sourcegears Diffmerge is a desktop application I use locally, and it usually shows a better side-by-side diff for the same review. In particular, indentation changes really screw with things. Each side is associated to a color: by default, dark red for the left model and blue for the right. The side-by-side diff is sometimes very bad at matching up unchanged lines. Right now, I go to Edit > Preferences > External Tools and change the Revision Control Diff/Merge setting to Custom Tool. Folder Diff Performs a side-by-side comparison of 2 folders, showing which files are only present in one file or the other, as well as file pairs which are identical or different. EMF Diff/Merge is a diff/merge technology for models. I am currently running: Unity 2020.3.14f1 I'm trying to use Visaul Studio Code as my Diff/Merge tool and I'm running into some issues regarding the arguments.
